I'm just getting home from the dreaded
but much needed surgery. I put it off for as long as I physically could. My day started at 4am. I arrived for registration by 5:45am and by 12pm I was back home in my bed...still feeling pretty good from the anesthesia. The procedure was a RFA also known as Radio frequency Ablation.
This procedure is performed to treat varicose veins (V.V). Many think that v.v. are
only unsightly but, in all honestly, they can be very painful. There
were many days & nights I found myself unable to walk. I had even
experienced numbness in my calf. This scare is what temporarily stopped
my exercise routines. V.V. are hereditary. They are also agitated and
worsened by excessive weight gain and pregnancy. Seeing as though v.v.
run in my family (thanks pop-pop) and I have had four very large
pregnancies, I stand on my feet for hours w/o sitting and I have a major
appetite for beautiful high heel shoes, I am the poster child for what
to do to ensure the development of v.v. I am extremely happy, thus far, with the procedure. Now, I am on the hunt for fabulously comfortable shoes that are swagger...full. This time I will not purchase a single high heel. :-) This will be a fun hunt. New shoes, shorts & skirts, I'm so excited! No more hiding these legs!!! I'll keep you posted on all the great finds!
